2025 Spring Load Limits March 3, at 12:00 PM

Pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes 349.16, Rusk County highway season weight restrictions will become effective MONDAY MARCH 3, 2025 at 12:00 p.m.  Adjustment to the proposed effective date may be considered contingent upon weather conditions.

The Rusk County Highway weight restrictions for 2025 shall be set at 4 Tons per Axle – 20 Ton Gross. This applies to all County Trunk Highways in Rusk County except for:

 CTH “I” from Highway 8 south and west to Highway 27.

CTH “G” from Ladysmith south and east to CTH “I”.

CTH “D” from Highway 27 East to the Taylor County Line

This is a critical period of time for the county highways and we request support and cooperation for this temporary load limit.  The Rusk County Highway Department will be enforcing the posted seasonal weight limits and penalties may be imposed under sec. 348.21, Wis. Statutes for violations.

This notice does not include town roads. Townships will need to be contacted directly for the status of their seasonal weight restrictions.
